Mac.

Mac lipstick in Pretty Please

Mac Contour Powder

Mac Prep + Prime Contour finishing powder

That's all I got from Mac. After my spending spree in Sephora, I didn't really need much makeup, but I love the colour of the lipstick, and I could do with a powder. More to come soon...

Sephora.

So, by showing you what I got in NY, I realised it's going to take me forever, so I'm going to categorise into separate posts.

So here is what I got from Sephora:

This was a collection of samples of Sephora's best selling fragrances, as well as a voucher to purchase a FREE full bottle of one of those samples! And that's not all... it also came with a pocket sized refillable rollerball and filter, which means you filter a sample into the rollerball and you can carry it round, and instead of spraying the fragrance, you roll it on - which I love!

Here are the fragrances included:

Dior Hypnotic Poison
Versace Bright Crystal
Bvlgari Eau de Parfum ||
Juicy Couture Couture Couture
Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue
Clinique Happy
DKNY PureDKNY
Marc Jacobs Lola
Bliss Eau de Toilette
Givenchy Ange ou Demon le Secret
Pucci Miss Pucci
Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne

So as you can see, a great purchase on my behalf. The free bottle I got was the Dior Hypnotic Poison...

I also bought my friend's birthday present as previously mentioned in the last post.

I've already described this in my previous post.

I got this Glitz & Glam set too, which included:

Lorac Perfectly Lit in Spotlight
Josie Maran Bronzing Argan Oil
Tarte Lock n Roll 12-hour Eye shadow in Bronze
Tarte Natural Cheek Stain in Glam
Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure
Tarina Tarantino Gem Gloss in Disco Nap
Bare mineral Mineral Veil in Illuminating
Sephora Collection Electro Eyeliner in Copper
Lorac 3D Gloss in 3D
Nars Orgasm Illuminator
Tarte Smooth Operator Illuminating Serum

(I just wanted a brown eyeliner really)

These two eyeshadows are from the Buxom collection, and they are cream based eyeshadows. I really like the packaging too. I cannot say enough about the actual products, though. Both eyeshadows look really good on, and I have worn them quite a bit since I bought them.

This is a cream based eyeliner from the Sephora Collection. Although in this picture it looks more of a matte black, in reality it's a gunmetal colour and looks slightly shimmery.

So, that's what I got in Sephora! I love it all, and I've used quite a bit of it. Let me know what you think, and I'll get posting with the rest of my stuff soon!

Back to normality!

I'm baaaaaaacck!!!

Hi everyone, lovely to be back to normality after an amazing trip to NYC. I got back on Saturday-ish but I was so tired I just slept the whole day practically. I have such amazing things to share with you from New York, but as you will know if you've read my blog, my camera's a bit messed up at the moment! Bad times. But I did have an unbelievable time. I have been there before, but this trip was definitely my favourite time visiting. I spent the majority of the trip shopping so I will do a separate post on what I've bought. I also spent a bit of time with my friend who came with her mum and dad too, so that was great because we had such a fun time.

Gossip Girl were filming on Madison Avenue while I was there so that was great, and I also went to see a couple of Broadway shows. I saw Promises, Promises, which is so funny. The lead roles were played by Sean Hayes (the overly camp gay one from Will and Grace), and Kristin Chenoweth (who all Glee lovers like myself will know from guest starring as April Rhodes). I also saw Mamma Mia which was good I suppose, but having already seen the film, I found I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. I absolutely LOVE musical theatre though, so I did enjoy both musicals I went to see.

Also, I realised that there's lots of "eye candy" in NY, you just have to be in the right places. A lot of men I saw looked like they just stepped of the set of Gossip Girl - although, given the circumstances, they probably had. Also, I found it was bitterly cold by the end of the week and resorted to wearing around 5-6 layers of clothing! But then again, there was little snow, much the contrary to Liverpool, I later learnt, when actually landing in the UK.

I will post more about my week, but I feel like this post is dragging on slightly. Also, I apologise for not posting while I was there - I was just having too much fun!

Separate point completely:

It was my friends birthday today so we decided that we would all go to one of our houses, and cook a meal! One of my friends made the starter, one made the main, and the others, the dessert. Now, don't judge me, I realise it seems like I put NO effort in, but you are wrong! I brought (mulled) wine - very festive - although we didn't get round to drinking it in the end.

Overall, the afternoon/night was fun, although the birthday girl wasn't feeling too good, as she has been very ill. Also, it did feel rather strange sitting down, cooking for each other, and drinking wine - how woman-ish we are! We are not normally like this to be fair, but as it was a special occasion, we thought we'd be mature adults and dress up nice and eat a lovely cooked meal. That was until we started talking and laughing, and we were back to our immature ways!

Here is what I bought the birthday girl herself:

I got it from Sephora in NYC. Basically, she more or less relies on her mascara more than anything - she won't leave the house without it on!

The present includes:

Too Faced LashLight Mascara in Black
Josie Maran GOGO Instant Natural Volume Argan Mascara in Pitch Black
Tarte MultiplEYE Clinically-Proven Lash Enhancing Mascara in Black
Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash Mascara in Black
Blinc Kiss Me Mascara in Black
Laura Mercier Full Blown Volume Mascara in Black
Buxom Lash Mascara in Blackest Black
Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara in Black
Sephora Collection Advanced Lash Booster in Black
Hourglass Film Noir Full Spectrum Mascara in Onyx
Tarte Picture Perfect Eyelash Curler

So, that's the gift. She loves cosmetics and Sephora, so I'm hoping she'll love this too!

Also, this same amazing friend made us all personalised, handmade christmas cards! She is so creative...

How amazing?! I LOVE it!!! It was SO thoughtful, and if I had the time, I would totally do that too - unfortunately, I don't.

So, that was my night - that along with my friend undercooking the meat severely, and that it took us about 20 minutes to pluck up the courage to tell her, and also the fact that her dog ran away out the front door!

I will update you with more news from my amazing trip to NYC. But for now, BYE!!!

See you in 10 days!

So, as you will know if you've read my blog already, I'm off to NY this weekend! Unfortunately, I will be unable to post in the next 10 days, but... once I'm back I'll tell you all about it!

Also, on a more negative note, my camera's broken. What's a good quality camera I could get for Christmas? Anyone have any ideas?

Birthdays!

It was one of my best friend's birthday the other week, so I thought I'd share some photos (or 'poladroid' pictures!)

In addition to this, it's my other friend's birthday coming soon, and I know I'll be in New York soon, and there will be lots of things for me to choose from, but besides that, does anyone have any ideas? She likes unique, delicate types of jewellery, and likes nude shades as far as clothes go. She loves reading blogs and has seen some lovely stuff on here!

Polaroids, Concerts, and Christmas Carols

Yesterday I downloaded this really cool editing software for my Mac. Basically, it is a picture of a polaroid camera and you drag a photo on to the image and it produces a polaroid version! Not only does it appear on your screen ten times better, but you can see it develop too. The download is free and called Poladroid. I went a bit crazy and turned almost all of my photos in to polaroids. I love it!

Also, I think I have the Katy Perry dilemma sorted. Instead of selling them, I think either I'll go with my sister, or my sister will go with her friend. So that's one thing sorted I suppose.

Finally, I had my school Carol Concert last night too, in the Anglican Cathedral. For those of you that don't live in Liverpool, we have two main cathedrals, both very well known. So, as this would be my last Carol Concert ever, I thought I'd make extra effort, and enjoyed every minute of it. I love it, because there is a huge Christmas tree up in the cathedral, with lights, and the choir sings, and everyone joins in with the Christmas Carols. It is definitely one of the better traditions that our school have. Another plus? We wore black cloaks - I felt like I should be in Hogwarts!

For those of you that are unaware...

I just thought I'd lay down some infamous Seth Cohen quotes for your enjoyment (and mine)!

Ryan: Sometimes I think you talk just to make sounds.
Seth: Well, sometimes I do.

Seth: How was the mall?
Ryan: Weird…
Seth: Yeah, you've really painted a picture for me. I feel like I was there.

Seth: If you do this for me, somewhere down the line I'll be able to do something for you. I don't know what it's gonna be yet, but it's gonna be awesome!

Seth: Hey man, you know who sings this song?
Luke: Rooney!
Seth: Yeah. And it should stay that way.

Kirsten: I sense sarcasm.
Seth: Well, you're perceptive, mother.

Taylor: Have you heard about the lock-in tomorrow night? The entire senior class is gonna spend the night in the gym.
Summer: Oh! Can't make it.
Seth: Yeah. I'm taking off my arm with a hacksaw.

Summer: These are our college lists. Do you see a difference?
Seth: Yeah. The font. Looks like you went with the, ah, Times New Roman.
Summer: The schools, Doofus. None of them are the same. None of them are even in the same time zone.
Seth: Okay, so you went West Coast, I went East Coast. It's not a hip-hop war.

Seth: I just find it interesting how your hand collided with my face.

Seth: Because Summer, I like you, this much, and if you don't feel the same way about me, then someone's going to have to give me a hand down because it's really high and i could fall and that would be really embarrassing, more embarrassing.
